CLUB FEES 2025

Rand Road Warriors is an Edenvale based community running club that caters for all types of runners. In the heart of Edenvale, the club trains from Monday to Sunday with various training groups. The Club places a large focus on giving back to the Edenvale community, family and obviously running. Rand Road Warriors after many years have a Club House at the Edenvale Bowling Club. We are brighter in personality than we are in club colours!

GROUP A “SILVER LININGS”

This is our Elite Group of runners and they run at a pace of 4:50 to 6:15 minutes per kilometer.

GROUP B “INTERMEDIATE”

Our Intermediate Runners run between three to four times a week with some cross training thrown in between and one day a week of rest. Their distances vary from 5km to 42km runs and run at a pace of 6:00 to 7:15 minutes per kilometer.

GROUP C “SWATT”

This is our Beginners Group taking you from the couch to a 5km run. SWATT stands for Sprinters, Walkers and Trash Talkers. This group will take you from a walk / run to running a 5km at a 7 minute per kilometer pace.

Membership Options

1) New Members 2025
Membership fee is R800 and includes a Rand Road Warriors casual t-shirt, a Rand Road Warriors reflector vest and includes the compulsory R120 CGA License Fee (Your license fee includes road insurance). New members need to register themselves on the CGA site.

2) Membership Renewal 2025 (Renewal of membership is only for 2022 paid up members)
Membership fee renewal is R600 and includes the compulsory R120 CGA License Fee (Your license fee includes road insurance). Members need to update their CGA membership on the CGA web site yearly.

3) Junior Members 2025 (Youth under 18 years of age)
Junior membership fee is sponsored by the Rand Road Warriors running club. Applicants must apply through the Club Secretary. They will be issued with a voucher number to complete their online application. All Junior members have to pay R60 for their CGA license. The License must be purchased online when completing the online membership application. It is compulsory for Junior members to purchase a CGA License so that they are covered by the CGA insurance. Members need to update their CGA membership on the CGA web site.

4) Honorary Members 2025
Honorary membership fees are sponsored by the Rand Road Warriors running club. Applicants must apply through the Club Secretary. They will be issued with a voucher number to complete their online membership application. All Honorary members have to pay R120 for their CGA license so that they are covered by the CGA insurance. The license must be purchased online when completing the online membership application.  Members need to renew their CGA membership on the CGA web site.

5) Development and Sponsored Membership 2025
Membership fee is sponsored by the Rand Road Warriors running club. Applicants must apply through the Club Secretary and will be issued a voucher to complete their online application. Members need to renew their CGA membership on the CGA web site.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By completing this membership application, you agree to make yourself available to assist at the Edenvale Marathon Race event.  This is compulsory for all members and dates for this race will be shared in advance.

Club Kit consist of black pants or skorts and a Rand Road Warriors running shirt or vest.  In winter black tracksuits or shirts can be worn with or under your club kit. No other colour. When taking part in an ASA / CGA Licensed event club members must wear club colours and their 2024 license number back and front, on the upper body of the garment and the issued race number on the front of vest without concealing the sponsors names. Licensed club members who do not wear their 2024 license numbers must wear a temporary license or face disqualification. Temporary licensed athletes are to wear plain clothing with the issued temporary license on the back of their vest and not their club colours. Licenced athletes not wearing club colours may face disqualification. Athletes competing for category prizes must wear clearly visible age tags of the appropriate size, on the back and front of their running vest.

Athletes may not run with another athlete’s CGA License number. When participating in an event an athlete cannot use another athlete’s race event number unless they have done a substitution. An athlete running with another athlete’s race number is not covered by the CGA or a events insurance. This can result in disciplinary action or a suspension.

Members shall be required to abide by the Club’s Constitution as well as ASA / CGA Rules and Regulations.

A member who wishes to resign is required to tender his/her resignation in writing and submit same to the secretary.  No remission of subscription fees is to be made to any member who resigns before the end of the financial year or is barred from the Club.

CLUB TRANSFER

Your ASA licence is the property of Rand Road Warriors. Should you transfer to another club and wish to retain your licence number, a special request must be lodged with the Rand Road Warriors Club Registrar prior to transfer taking place. A clearance letter will be subsequently provided.

CLUB RACE KIT

RRW Club Race kit consists of an official club race vest or t-shirt and PLAIN BLACK SHORTS / SKORTS ONLY. No other colours are allowed. 

The ASA licence number must be attached to the front and back of your vest for an event. You can find out more about the CGA rules here

Age category badges can be obtained from our Club Registrar and must be displayed both front and back to be eligible for category prizes at races.
